TMPL and Polish Environmental Partnership
Foundation which cooperate together since 2004 in program Schools for
Sustainable Development in days 30 November - 1st December 2009initiated
first in this year meetings between schools and Toyota Car Dealers.
The main objective of this meeting is introduce to
schools knowledge about environmental management systems like ISO 14001 on the
base of experience and knowledge of Toyota Car Dealers which are certificated.
Toyota Car Dealers if want to maintenance this certificate must eg. cooperate
with local community like for example schools. This certificate is challenge to
develop and better effects in environmental management in firms, but the same
in schools who apply for Green Flag in Eco - Schools Program. Schools are very
active in environmental activities but often very difficult to assess main
target of this. This cooperation can help them to improve of systematic working
of management system in schools.
In series of meetings initiated by TMPL and PEPF
participated Mr. Piotr Sójka from Carolina
Car Company, Mr. Aleksander Kopestyński from
Toyota Bielany Sp.zo.o., Mr. Cezary Cachel from Toyota Żerań, Mr. Paweł
Walendziak and Piotr Sztukowski from Toyota Chodzeń, Ms. Maja Kleszczewska from
Toyota Radość, Ms. Joanna Sabaj from Prestige Auto Sp. Zo.o. Toyota Okęcie and interested
schools.
During this meetings were decided that this school year will be
organised 3 meetings on which will be:
1st meeting - visit of Toyota Car
Dealer in school and presentation of their activities in firm regards
environmental aspects (waste management, energy savings, water and others) and
presenting of ISO 14001.
2nd meeting - visit group of students in firm and introduction to
environmental management system and technology.
3rd meeting - summary of cooperation during festival or some
other activities with local community.
In next weeks we have plan to continue this meetings
in new regions.
We count that this activities will be developing in
future with benefits for schools and firms.
