Problem: Too much consumption of water, energy and problem with too many rubbish

Objective:

-          Reduce consumption of water at school

-          Waste sorting

-          Effectively influence for local community in range of water and rubbish

-          Care embrace of Książański Park Krajobrazowy

-          Get the certificate: Lokalnego Centrum Aktywności Ekologicznej

 

Project implementation and results:

The Project start to realise from bring project`s staff into existence, which takes for the target to work out plan of actions with tasks for the workgroup. Next it carry out an ecological audit, which may display the biggest problems which concern environment dangers from function of school

First stage.

Opening the project where school invite partners, sponsors, media, parents and school students. After multimedia demonstration, classes which are involve in project chose tasks and work out the plan to attain them. In this stage they elaborate ecological code.

Second stage

Teachers of all subjects achive changes in teaching programmes and the specify in them ecological elements. Besides nature`s teachers start to adapt their classrooms for being a true example of nature`s classrooms.

During the Green School pupils participate in natural atelier entitled "All rivers flow into seas" and they conduct waste sorting

Among form-masters of classes there is a competition for the most interesting educational lesson entitled "How don`t destroy nature in holiday time?". Religion`s teachers and priests work out and execute course about saint Francis after holiday.

During holiday is photos competition entitled "Holiday nature in my lens" and for 4 to 6 primary school classes is publish competition for the most interesting relation from green holiday.

Third stage

Activity in three areas: water, rubbish, park.

Water area. Activities in this area start from lessons on education lesson which are about legitimacy and methods of bringing water into cultivation. Students take part in trip to wastewater treatment facility and they meet with workers of waterworks. From photos which take during the trip they prepare exhibition in the main hall of school. Next, during holiday time, exchange batteries and toilet cistern by urinal on water saving and install perlators in the other sinks.

After holiday they start to work during "Cleaning World" action which march on under the banner of "Clean Szczawnik". They try, with another schools, together to conduct clearing rivers. In September too students conduct the research about rivers and water basin pollution degree.

Also they execute a model of wastewater treatment facility, which serve to education during the lessons time. During presentation of this wastewater treatment facility they invite professor from university who lecture on a lesson about water meaning and priest present water symbolist in Christianity.

 

Rubbish area. Activities on this area start from ecological reconnaissance KPK, which scouts conduct. Next organize ecological happening connect with photos exhibition  "Folio Trees". They carry out an action called "Do not take foil in the shop". Shortly after they buy bins for rubbish segregation, which stand on school`s halls.

Jointly with "Recall" Foundation accumulate and return aluminium tins to purchasing center. Together with "Reba" company conduct batteries collection. They carry out an action to in every electric shop  and markets stand container for cells which Ecological Patrol picks up.

They conduct an information action about places where is possible to give back stale medicines.

They conduct an action called "Waste paper faucet", where means from collected waste paper intend to buy water batteries thermostatic.

Park area. In this time they start promotion KPK through organize in it Mathematical Local Competition. Prepare photographical competition and photos exhibition "KPK rubbish".

In the park conduct a few didactical lessons inter alia stocktaking monumental tree. Together with County carry out lessons about water, organize ecological camp for 1^st gymnasium classes on Cisa`s castle and orienteering between schools.

Finial actions are exhibition called "Our care about Książański Park Krajobrazowy"
