Our school is located in Woźniki in the picturesque valley of Skawa River. Woźniki is a village which is settled in Małopolska Province, Tomice Commune in Wadowice District.

Protecting the environment is our priority for many years. Teachers of our school are seized upon the idea of developing environmental projects as a way of introducing changes which are very beneficial for nature.

Teachers and students of our school have organized Ecological Days in Tomice Community for 6 years. The main part of the Days are lectures for students and teachers of all Community. There are many art and literary contests for young children. We cooperate with the parents of our students, local community and local governments, Voluntary Fire Brigade, Country Housewives Circle and a local Sport Club.

By participating in the ‘Valuable Energy' program the school was able to replace regular light bulbs and heaters with energy - efficient ones in the entire school building. We organized an information campaign of energy - saving which was addressed to all schools of Tomice Commune. As a result parents of our students have started to replace regular light bulbs with energy - efficient ones. In addition our parish - priest has replaced 102 bulbs in the church this year.

We are continuing actions undertaken in the past. Our students give additional food to birds during the winter in wicker feeding trays every year.

The basket - making is a traditional industry of local farmers. We use wicker bins, flower boxes and window boxes in our school.

We have just finished spring collection of paper, plastic bottles and aluminium cans. We have collected them for four years. The collection is organized by Sursum Corda Fund from Wadowice twice a year and it is called ‘Ekoprzyjaciel' which means ‘A friend of environment'.

Few years ago we realized a project called ‘Change stone into grass' in which we rebuilt some parts of the school playground into a small park.

We have realized another project called ‘Wicker tradition of Woźniki as a ground of the Local Centre of Environmental Education'. The main aim of the action is a wide  promotion of wicker products of our farmers especially in the newspapers and the Internet.
