Witków is a small village of around 1200 inhabitants, located on the route Kamienna Góra – Wałbrzych. It is often visited by tourists. The main local attarction is TRÓJGARB (three interconnected hills, visible from a distance according to their height). Trójgarb is a beautiful place located about 5 km from the village.
The aim of the project was to make the most of the pictureque landscape and to agitate the local community to a collective pro-ecological activities. What has been achieved so far is: marking of the main road, establishment of a new green trail, building a children’s playground, replacing the old fence with new one, creating a garden and planting a lot of greenery around the school. The knowledge about the ecological and touristic variety of the environmental surroundings of Witów, has been handed on both to pupils and to locals.
The project’s accoplishment has contributed to the increase in the education level amongst children and teenagers and to the improvement of the school's image as well as to the integration of the local society.
