Green garden

 

Problem: Lack of place around the school which is full of green and where students may awake their ecological consciousness and spend breaks.

 

Objective: Render habitable wastelands in front of school for education and sport.

 

Project implementation and result: First step is ask students for suggest a name of project. Next step is artistic competition , which afford for picture how students imagine a new park. Projects suggestion by children show on meeting with parents and Jugowice inhabitants. Students visions use on planning distribution individuals components which create park.

 

Before they start to do anything, in terrain start intensive promotional action. In this purpose create leaflets and posters which inform about targets and methods of realizing project, which are set in strategic places in neighborhood. Great method is co-operate with Communal Information Center and set article in communal newspaper. Next information carrier is website. Rector of parish is suggest help with information action.

 

First step in practical actions is eliminate weeds. Next all terrain of the actions is level. In those works parents and inhabitants of Jugowice take part in. The same people help with break and remove concrete area in front of school

 

Next step is bring ground and set places for pavement and flowerbeds. They buy flagstone  from President of Wałbrzych. Sand for cover pavement offer by village-mayor. After set pavement they sow the grass and flowers. Before students start working, they are gone through training, on which show children rules of safety.

 

By sow the flowers take part every student. Every class is responsibility for appointed part of garden. Students make boars with names of sowed flowers.

 

Next execute renewal a fence, which is clean and paint anticorrosive watercolor. In this action help ROB-BUD Company and workers of public works. Along the fence is plant trees, which are passed by forester.

 

Set benches and rubbish bins. Set swings. Students make feeders on their own. Set containers for rain water, which will use as water to water the plants. Make signboard with park name - design by students.

After finish practical actions, they organize picnic, which is opening park.
