„Green, fairy-tale land"

Problem: The local playground & bicycle area, because it is located in the near vicinity of a busy road, has not been considered a safe place for rest and recreation, least of all by parents whose children are frequent visitors there. The other issue with the general area was that it was lacking in the proper educational and recreational equipment, making it even less attractive.

 

Objective: The main aim of the project was to increase the safety of children and youth staying at the playground and using the bicycle area by upgrading the fencing and developing the playground.

 

Project implementation and results: Project work involved:

1. Organising a meeting to present the project and to carry out a survey with the goal of better understanding the needs and expectations that pupils have with respect to the playground and bike area. The survey results were turned into appropriate project activities;

2. Running competitions: "My dream playground" (for pupils) and  „The most beautiful house yard" (for village residents);

3. Purchasing the necessary elements to develop and upgrade the playground & bicycle area;

4. Setting up fencing, planting vegetation, creating a green space;

5. Organising family events and weekend farmer's market.
